

Cleo C. McIver, 92, of Midwest City, OK passed away June 1, 2016. He was born October 1, 1923 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Harry and Viola (Wilson) McIver. Cleo was proud to have served on the United States Navy. After his service, he was just as proud to have earned a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma University. He was a proud alumni and supporter of his alma mater. As a young man, Cleo married the love of his life, Betti Lou (Barton) McIver and the two shared 62 wonderful years together. As newlyweds they moved into the home that they would raise their family in and spend the rest of their days in. They raised 3 children together. Cleo was first and foremost a family man. He loved and adored his family and was a wonderful Dad. He was always there for his children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors. He was always there to root them on, no matter the sport or activity and he leaves them with the lasting legacy of what a family man should be. In his spare time, Cleo was an avid bowler and Red Sox fan. He also enjoyed golf, stamp collecting crossword puzzles and road trips with his beloved Betti. Cleo was a wonderful man and will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by daughter, Susan Brown and husband John; son, Roger McIver and wife Valeri; grandchildren, Holly Faught and husband Daryl, Robyn Chase, Jonathan Brown and wife Rachel, Jarron McIver, Chad McIver and wife Martha, Kellie McIver and fiancée Steven Dutcher and Casey McIver; great grandchildren, Justice, Jordan, Jackson, Jett, Isabel, Delaneigh, Layton, Peyton, Jayce, Kyle, Macie and Raelee. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betti; son, Steven McIver and grandson, Justin McIver. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Arlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum with interment to follow.
