Cindy is survived by her husband of 27 years, Mariano “Rocky” Santiago; her brother Jeffry Jones (Patricia), Grants Pass, Oregon; sisters-in-law Alba Santiago, Beaumont, Texas; and Nilsa Santiago Summey (Edwin), Columbus, Georgia; nephew Brett New (Kimberly), Fortson, Georgia; and her adorable Silky Terriers Lucy and Bella.
Cindy was truly a “free spirit,” had a beautiful smile and will forever be remembered by her contagious laugh. She had a passion for plants and flowers, received a Master’s degree in Horticulture from OSU, and was certified as a Master Gardener. Through her work experiences she was known as the “Plant Lady.”
Cindy loved antiques, enjoyed extensive traveling abroad, and had a fondness for the color blue, reflected in her home and extensive glass collection. She had a love of books, and shared her love by volunteering with the Literacy Council of Oklahoma City.
A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at the Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home located at 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City.
