David married Bobbie Haney on June 24th, 1958 and they had three children, Dana Guinn Kendall, David W. Guinn and Debbie Guinn Hoepfinger all from Oklahoma City. David had eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, David E. Guinn and LaVerne Guinn Myers, his brother, Ronnie Guinn, and his sisters, Dianna Chandler and Trudy Brannon.
David was a devoted member of the Indian Temple Shriners Fishing Club and was the current treasurer. He served many positions at his lodge. He volunteered his time and equipment for the fish fries and the fishing club. He went on many fishing guide trips and everyone loved his fried fish. He also liked to make chili out of the venison he got while hunting.
He had many hobbies including fishing, playing golf, hunting, watching any and all old westerns, trap shooting and going to the casino. He also loved to watch football, golf, tennis and baseball on TV.
David had many lifelong friends and was liked by many.
A visitation will be held in David’s honor on Wednesday, November 3, from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home located at 8701 N.W. Expressway in Oklahoma City.
A funeral service will be held to celebrate David’s life on Thursday, November 4, at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with burial following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
