

David Benjamin Yancey passed away Sunday, May 27, 2012 in Oklahoma City. David was born in Oklahoma City on 8/8/88 to Anne Odom and Dan Yancey. David spent his formative years in Ponca City, OK where he attended elementary school and was a proud member of the Boy Scouts. David loved being in the woods by his Ponca City home where he would have “Thousands of Ideas” that he would share with his parents, sister and brother. David loved all animals and was always bringing a dog or cat home for his family to adopt. David graduated high school in Carmel, Indiana and moved back to Oklahoma City with his fiancé Taylor Mance. David became a proud father within the last year to his son Merrick Yancey. David is survived by Taylor Mance, his son Merrick Yancey, parents Anne Odom, Dan and Jo Yancey, sister Sarah Harel, brother in law Beni Harel, brother Michael Yancey, sister in law Lindsay Yancey, Aunt Diane King, Uncle Jamie Sharp, Aunt Julia Sharp and his grandparents Jim and Connie Sharp. David leaves behind his nephews, Hayden, Nova, Daniel and a host of cousins all who love him. David was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Alice Yancey, Aunts Janice Gunn, and Gobie, Uncles Bob Gunn and Ron King. David’s family would like to thank all who have been so kind during this difficult time. David was truly loved by all. Graveside services will be held at Temple B’nai Israel Cemetery, section of Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 North Kelley Avenue Oklahoma City, OK on Thursday May 31st at 11:00 AM.
