

Dean Clarke Harrison was born September 16, 1921 in Ardmore, OK to Clyde Nowlin Harrison and Willa Lea Carothers. Enlisting in the Navy, Clarke served as a "Flying Boat" pilot during World War 2. He married Shirley Alene Myers in December 1942. After the war Clarke graduated from OCU, majoring in Business. He worked as an insurance adjustor and a hardware store owner in Oklahoma City. Clarke was a longtime member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church. He and Shirley had three children, David Clarke Harrison, Linda Joyce (Harrison) Boswell and Thomas Nowlin Harrison. Clarke passed from this life January 15, 2012. He was preceded by his parents, his sister, Dorothy Jones, and brother, Leland C. Harrison, wife Shirley, and special friend, Peggy Winchester. Clarke is survived by his children, his grandchildren, Angela Harrison, Dean Harrison, John Timperley, Christopher Harrison, Deana (Boswell) Ellis, Eric Boswell, Cody Boswell, Thomas Harrison, Cynthia (Harrison) Hovorka, Christopher Scott, Meredith (Scott) Lawson, Renee' (Scott) Wootten, Marcus Harrison, and many great grandchildren, and honorary daughter, Debbie Riley. Clarke was a noble, honest, quietly spiritual, generous and unique man. A wonderful father and role model, he was loved by more people than he could have imagined.
