

of 76. He was born February 24, 1939 to Warren and Violet (Wilds) Schwoerke in
Taneyville, MO. They moved to Oklahoma City shortly thereafter, where he attended
Northwest Classen High School. He received his Master's Degree in Liberal Studies
from the University of Oklahoma in 1983. He retired as a Systems Analyst at Tinker Air
Force Base in 1994 with 37 years service.
Dennis married Charlotte Mondie on March 25, 1960. They enjoyed square dancing,
snow skiing, card games, and traveling throughout the United States and other countries.
Dennis fulfilled his dream to see the Egyptian pyramids in 1985. As members of
Friendship Force, they also enjoyed hosting visitors from other countries.
Dennis was a member of the Independent Investors Investment Club, Young Men's
Dance Club, and the Oklahoma Genealogical Society First Families of the Twin
Territories. He spent many years researching his genealogy and documented five
ancestors from the American Revolution. He also enjoyed cooking, gardening, painting,
playing the piano, telling jokes, and was an avid tennis player. He will always be
remembered for his witty comments and genuine concern for others.
Dennis is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte Schwoerke, daughter and her
husband Denise and Kevin Jett, granddaughters Amanda Jett and Valari Jett, sister
Sharon Vaughan of Pasadena, CA, sister and brother-in law, Glenda and Joe Mantel of
Alhambra, CA along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in
death by his parents and brother Nicholas Schwoerke of Oklahoma City.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec 5, 2015 at 2:00pm at the Hahn-Cook
Funeral Home Chapel, 6600 N. Broadway Extension. Interment will follow at Rose Hill
