Dolores Strader Foote passed away Saturday September 12, 2015 and graduated this life for a better life with Jesus. She was 91 years old and often said, “It’s not easy being 91”! She passed the way she wanted…..in her comfortable “Lazy Boy” recliner. She was born on August 15th 1924 in Sedalia, Missouri to Lee Fielding Strader and Eva Mae (Paxton) Strader. She graduated from Hughesville High School, Hughesville, Missouri in 1942. Her working career has always centered around accounting and bookkeeping. She was a whiz at anything math related. Her descendants all seem to have inherited her massive interest in numbers. She retired in 1986 from the Internal Revenue Service as an Auditor. One of her great joys in life was her knitting. She knitted sweaters, blankets, ponchos, boots, hats, doll clothes, wash rags, pot holders and anything else she could think of. Over the years, she won numerous awards for her projects she entered at the State Fair of Oklahoma. She did all of this for other people and never charged anything for her work. She did these things out of love with a servant’s heart. There are literally hundreds of recipients of her shared love. She loved her family and took great pleasure in getting together whenever she was able. At her son’s funeral 4 days before she died, even as tired as she was, she insisted in participating in a family meal and gathering and was so moved at the love and compassion her family had always shown her. And she certainly showed in her actions and attitude that HER love and compassion did not stop when there was divorce in the family, either. She always continued loving and caring about her family members in spite of changed circumstances and marriage situations and always unselfishly embraced EVERYONE including ex’s, formers, use-to-be’s and even some use-to-be former ex’s etc. People always shook their heads in amazement trying to understand her lack of prejudice in anything. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Eva Strader; also by her sister, Marlyn Youngblood; her daughter, Susan Lee Foote; 1 son (eight days before her death), Norman (David) Foote; and 1 great-grandchild, Kylea Flower Foote. She was also preceded in death by her ex-husband Norman Parks and her ex-husband Justice Bernard Foote (JB).She is survived by her brother, Wallace Strader from Warner Robins, Ga.; her son, Dino Foote and his wife Cindy from Yukon, Ok.; her step-son James Foote from Oklahoma City, Ok.; also her 8 Grandchildren, David Norman Foote and wife Annette, Cristopher Shawn Foote and wife Amber, Trent Alan, Tracie Rene’e Hemphill and husband Charles, Travis Weston Foote and wife Faith, Trisha Foote, April Michelle Rhoda and husband David, and Dr. Holly C. Foote. She is also survived by 24 Great Grandchildren and several step-Grandchilden and step Great-Grandchildren.
