

He graduated from Southeast High School in 1974. On December 6, 1984 he was united in marriage to Kelly Kemp sharing over 40 lovely years together.
Doug started his career in the motor repair business in 1974 and worked with his father, Paul Kemp, at Southwest Electric. In 1982, Doug along with his family, started Industrial Coil, a manufacturing company, which Doug was the President, with his wife Kelly joining the business in 1987. Doug and his family owned Industrial Coil for 42 years.
In his free time he loved watching the Dallas Cowboys and OKC Thunder. Doug was a longtime season ticket holder for the OU Sooners. He loved golf and was a big Nascar fan as well. Doug loved his pets, his Koi Pond, and riding his Can-Am. He was a proud member of Southern Hills Baptist Church, and EASA (The Electrical Apparatus Service Association).
He will always be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, son, brother and uncle.
Doug is preceded in death by niece, Mandi Pittman.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Kemp; parents, Paul and Nova Kemp; sister, Paula Kemp Pittman and her husband, Ron; sister in law, Connie Bowen and her husband, Tom; nephews, Matt Pittman and his wife, Jennifer, Tyler Bowen and his finance, Liz DeLucia; great nieces, Madeline Pittman , and Estella Pittman; great nephews, Henry Pittman, Paxton Hardin and Aidan Hardin.
A funeral service for Douglas will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Southern Hills Baptist Church, 8601 S Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73159 with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73139.
