

Dwight Maior Ferguson was born July 6, 1919 in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Dwight served in WWII as a member of the Army Air Corps “The Fighting 49th” Pacific engagement, and spent most of his career as a civilian accountant working at Tinker Air Force base in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Dwight was preceded in death by his father, George Springer Ferguson, his mother, Hattie Irena (Sloan) Ferguson, brother Springer Bird ("John") Ferguson, wife, Mary Elizabeth (Coward) Ferguson and son, David Alan Ferguson. He is survived by his sister, Ida Marrion Eubanks, his children, Ernest Howard Ferguson, Diana Ferguson Crawford and Gerald Lee Ferguson, as well as many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the congregation of Mimosa Heights Christian Church for the many years of love they expressed for Dwight as a longtime member of the church and also the staff of Grace Living Center Wilshire for looking after Dwight in this final year. Funeral arrangements are by Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evergreen Cemetery in Minco, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to charities of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
