

Born January 21, 1920 in Oklahoma City, OK, Eleanor was the child of Mattie Bell Perry and Thomas Booker Galyen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam Hill, eldest sister, Margaret Becker and twin sister, Eloise Villines, nephews Donald Becker and Kenneth Villines. She is survived by daughter, Becky Davidson (Len); Grandchildren Laurel Famigletti (Brian) and Kelly Davidson (Whitney); Great-grandchildren Sofia, Landon and Charlotte Famigletti and Gus and Ike Davidson; Niece Sandra Miller (John).
Eleanor graduated from Classen High School in 1938. She spent three years at Oklahoma City University where she was a member of Phi Delta sorority, which later became Alpha Chi Omega.
She married Sam Hill on November 23, 1941 and was devoted to him for 59 years until he passed on November 28, 2000. Prior to her marriage, Eleanor worked for the John A. Brown Company and after she got married, she was employed by the Navy at Will Rogers Air Force Base in Norman, OK until their daughter, Becky, was born. Her last professional role was held at Hartzfeld’s Department Store where she worked for 23 years.
Eleanor worshiped and was an active member at First Presbyterian Church since 1941. She was a member of Pricilla Circle at the church and was involved with Meals on Wheels.
Eleanor was involved in many activities throughout her life. She was an active member of Chapter BW of PEO since 1946, Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Aquarius Book Club, Blue Flower Garden Club, Orchestra League, Art League, Pricilla Circle, Volunteer Auxiliary for Baptist Hospital, Revelers Dance Club as well as an active participant in many bridge clubs. She was also an avid Oklahoma Sooner fan.
Memorial contributions in honor of Eleanor Hill are suggested to Cottey College for funding scholarships, 1000 W. Austin Blvd., Nevada, MO 64772.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 19th, 10:00 a.m. at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper, lunch will follow the service at the home of Sydney and Joe Wilson, 3725 Spyglass, Oklahoma City, OK 73120. Visitation will be available on Friday, November 18th, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper.
