

She was born on August 22, 1934. She was the widow of James Albert French. They shared almost forty years of marriage. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church now named Summit Church. She was born in El Paso, Texas and her family moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas in 1936, where she resided with her siblings and widowed mother, Barbara Wiley. Jeanie was a devoted daughter and upon her graduation from Little Rock High School, she began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Eva Jean at a very young age financed a remodeling of her mother’s home while living with her mother. She has one remaining sister, Mary Jedrick Efros who lives in Maumelle, Arkansas. Later in 1952, Jeanie moved transferring her employment to Oklahoma City. She worked for Southwestern Bell for forty-three years as telephone operator and service assistant supervisor. She was an active member of the Southwestern Bell Pioneers. She enjoyed international trips with the retired SWBell retirees. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and writing poetry. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Loudermilk and Husband John, Jamie Adamson and husband Robert and son Mat French. She has twelve grandchildren, Christopher, Jamie, Daniel, Andy, Joseph, Douglas, Jerad, Maci, Miranda, Johnnie, Cody, and Michael. She has ten great grandchildren, Luke, Grady, Everet, Lenora, Avery, Alex, Oliver, Kaiden, Aubree and Kayla. She preceded in death by sisters Alma Adams, Evelyn Einfeldt, Kay Barrett. Three Brothers, John, Herbert and Jay Wiley and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 19, 2023 at Summit Church, 3616 SW 119th in South Oklahoma City at 2:00pm followed by graveside services at Reshaven Cemetery SW 104th and Western. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Advantage Funeral Home from 5 to 7 pm, 7720 S. Pennsylvania, South Oklahoma City.
