

Frank Dennis Ketch passed away March 28, 2011. He was born October 27, 1946 to Frank and Anne Ketch. Frank graduated from John Marshall High School in 1964 and from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1970. He worked as a commercial real estate broker in Oklahoma City for many years until he opened his own company, Commercial Properties and Associates and then Ketch Construction Company, doing commercial development, construction and commercial real estate. Frank loved kids and sports, he was an avid OU football fan, he served a term on the School Board of Deer Creek from 1993 to 1999, and served as President of that board in 1999. He coached girls softball starting in 1976 with the Aggie Eagles, then started with a team called Dyn-O-Mites, who were a world championship team that traveled to Japan for exhibition games, in 1979 until 1986. One of his goals was to help the girls go to college, and many of his team members did continue to college on softball scholarships. Frank was particularly fond of fishing and boating and spent many summers at the lake. He always greeted people with a big smile and hug and never met a stranger. He was a great coach and mentor for young people. He carried with him a work ethic that was honest and fair, and was highly respected in the business community because of that. He loved his children and stepchildren and helped guide them through example to adulthood. Frank was overjoyed with the birth of his grandson and wanted to be known as “Poppy”. When Brody was 2 days old, Frank presented him with a sports bag filled with a football, basketball, baseball and mitt. He was looking forward to showing Brody how to throw a baseball. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter Ella Grace Ketch. He is survived by his wife, Robbi Lynn Ketch; Children, Frank “Robbie” Ketch and wife Celise and their son Brody; Daughter, Kristin Ketch. He is also survived by three stepchildren Michael Fleharty and wife Kayla, Tara Fleharty and Philip Fleharty, as well as sister Karla Ketch. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Deer Creek High School Softball Field Fund. Memorial Services for Frank will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2011 at Crossings Community Church.
