

4, 2013 in OKC, OK. Born September 11, 1910 in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up in
Bloomfield, NJ and moved to OK in 1936 after graduating with a BS from Carnegie
Tech in Pittsburgh, PA. George was a petroleum engineer for Shell Oil Company
for over 30 years before retiring and getting a real estate agent/broker
license. He was a founding member of the charity organization, Greater Oklahoma
Hunter Jumper Horse Show, remaining active for over 4 decades. From 1965-1972
he owned/operated Roserock Riding Academy in Norman, OK where he helped
influence the development of many current Hunter Jumper riders in Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Annette (Rush) Roberts in 1965.
Survivors include a son, Arthur Edwin Roberts of Tariffville, CT; a daughter,
Penny Roberts DiMaio of OKC, OK; 2 grandchildren, Annette Longenecker of
Annville, PA and Sean Arthur Roberts of Bullhead City, AZ. In lieu of flowers
