George graduated from Wynnewood High school in 1954 and two years later, he found and married the love of his life Daisy Louise Rose. Together the couple shared 64 amazing years in love.
On a perfect day for George, he would have a good day full of work, enjoying the beautiful weather and listening to Country music, before ending the day with a nice home cooked meal with his family. He loved a good joke, especially the ones his grandchildren told. They always found a way to put a smile on his face and make him laugh. George was a great role model for his children, showing them what a strong work ethic looked like, and how to respect and appreciate nature.
George will be remembered as a man who was a proud provider for his family, a loving person with a strong faith in God. He loved to go hunting, fishing, play card games and dominoes. George took pride in his hunting abilities and became an expert huntsman.
He was preceded in death by his loving Wife Daisy Louise Rose, Son-in-law David Shelton, and Brother John Rose and Wife Shirley of Mustang, OK and sister Pearl Rose of Iona, OK.
He is survived by his children; Betty Shelton of Yukon, OK, Tim Rose and wife Jennifer of Oklahoma City, OK, Gay Sanders and husband John of Earlsboro, OK, eight grandchildren; Robert Sloan, Nathan Sloan, Amber Scott, Jeff Shelton, Stacie Pales, Stephen Rose, Cameron Rose, and Ashley Trujillo. George’s legacy continues with his many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and fur babies Cooper and Clara Bell (Claire).
The Rose family would like to extend their gratitude to Heritage Village and Valir Hospice for caring for George in his final days.
