Gerry Alan Underkoffler

He was born on May 30, 1957, to June Rose and Garth Elroy Underkoffler in Oklahoma City. He attended Zachary Taylor Grade School, Harding Jr. High, and Spartan School of Aeronautics.

Gerry spent his early career as an aircraft mechanic before transitioning to his work as an automotive mechanic. He was known for being one of the best local mechanics for Mercedes and other German made automobiles. He was the proud business owner of two automotive repair shops during his career, Star Cars Unlimited and German Star Automotive.

Gerry married Katrinka Underkoffler on December 15, 1990, in Las Vegas. Together they had one son, Andy Underkoffler. Gerry had many dogs throughout his life, but none more loved than his steadfast companion, Prancer.

He loved tinkering with and fixing things, watching Westerns, spending time at Lake Tenkiller, and cheering on the OKC Thunder, but most of all, he loved his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Katrinka Underkoffler; his son, daughter-in-law and grand-dog, Andy and Teddie Underkoffler, and Douglas Underkoffler; his brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Joanie Underkoffler, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Les and Joe Hanley; and many nieces, cousins and other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Garth and June Underkoffler; and many loved ones.

The family wishes to thank all the medical staff and personnel who have taken such great and gentle care of him.
