

Harold Lloyd Miller, Sr., of Oklahoma City, passed away May 27, 2017. He was a devoted husband, father; grandfather, brother, friend and neighbor to many. He was born in Ville Platte, La. And graduated from Opelousas (LA) High School in 1952. He attended and played football at Southwestern Louisiana Institute (now University of Louisiana Lafayette). He also served in the U.S. Army 1957-1959 and in the active reserves until 1964. Harold worked in oilfield service and sales for almost 50 years, retiring in 2003. He was an avid golfer and woodworker, and enjoyed tinkering in his shop, fishing, and planting flowers. He adored his grandchildren, and enjoyed the fellowship of his friends at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church, where he served as a greeter. Harold married Franceen Delahoussaye in 1964. She preceded him in death in 2015. He is survived by his son Harold Jr. and his wife, Melissa, of St. Francis, WI; son Michael and his wife, Andrea of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Nathan, Ben, Cameron, Olivia, and Sarah, sister Versie McGee of Thibodeaux, LA, six nieces, and three nephews. Funeral service will be Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Cherokee Hills Baptist Church.
