Harry Clayburn Curtis left this world on July 20, 2018 the way he lived in it- doing exactly what he wanted. Harry was born in Oklahoma City on January 9, 1952, to Cecile and C.W. Curtis. Harry loved a good time, travel, and friends and family. He always had a smile on his face and was excited to see you and get together. Harry attended high school at NW Classen where he met so many of his life-long friends. From there he went on to Oklahoma State and the University of Oklahoma. He became involved in the family businesses which included some of his other great loves like horse racing and overseeing the family farm. He enjoyed being on his tractor, fishing, and the lake life where he and his friends were once adept at skiing/partying.
Harry leaves behind a cherished group of close friends whom he loved dearly. In 1974 he met his beloved wife, Cynthia Curtis. They built a wonderful life together that included so many adventures. In 1984 they had their only child, a son, Clayburn Curtis. The three of them were as close a family as one could imagine and he spent his last days with them. He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy, and son, Clayburn, as well as his sisters Carolyn and Jerry Greer and Donna and Jim Ferrill, all of Oklahoma City, and many nieces and nephews. Harry asks that you love like he did, cherish those closest to you, and focus on the good times. People are invited to celebrate his life at the Bill Eisenhour funeral home located at 8805 NE 23rd street OKC, OK 73141 at 2:00 p.m. Friday July 27th, 2018.
