Helen Ruth Brooks Vardaman

She enjoyed reading mystery and romance novels, bingo, tacos, and collecting Betty Boop memorabilia and little trinket bells. She loved her children and family and rarely did she ever miss a game or sporting event. Helen was a member of the Moose Lodge #1235.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Odis, Tom, Cecil and Faye Brooks, Dessie Ashbaker; and grandson, Rory Vardaman. Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years, John; children, Bruce Vardaman (Kimberly), David Vardaman, Ronald Vardaman (Deniece), Ricky Vardaman (Violet), Scott Vardaman (Rachel); grandchildren, Kylie Vardaman, Katelyn Vardaman (Allen Shaw), John Kade Vardaman, Adam Vardaman (Samantha), David Vardaman Jr. (Michelle), Steven, Chris, Kurstin, Nikki, Rylie, Maya, Hudson, and Berkley Vardaman, Amie Smith (Nathan), Michael Vardaman (Jessie); great-grandchildren, Addison, Adriann Shaw, Alizeah, Ainsleighe, Haylie, Shayla, Liberty, Graecen, Caden and Jacob Vardaman and Kayla Smith.

Visitation will begin on Monday, May 14, 2012 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City.
