David was born April 26, 1954, in Wareham, Massachusetts to Anne (Jackson) and James Roberts Jr. As a teenager he built a house with his father at Lake Eufala where he liked to spend time with his family and friends, boating, fishing and water skiing. He graduated from Del City High School in 1972, where he was an All-State football player as well as president of his senior class. He went on to attend OSU, where he would later meet his former wife, and mother of his children, Linda. He later worked as a robotics expert for GM in Oklahoma City, but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.
David will be remembered as a great sportsman, loving son, father, and grandfather. He coached several successful little league softball and baseball teams for his daughter and son. He enjoyed spending time on hunting and fishing trips, and cooking outdoors. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, and his home was always open to his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend Karen, who brought a lot of happiness and light to his life. He always loved visits from his granddaughters, Emma and Zoey, and they always looked forward to seeing him as well. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten, as he will remain in the hearts and minds of those who were part of his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Ashleigh Eischeid and husband Daniel; his son, Austin Roberts, granddaughters, Emma Young and Zoey Eischeid, his sister Burge, her husband John Leather, nephew John-Michael, niece Becka-Anne; former wife, Linda Bahan and his girlfriend Karen DePue.
