James Michael Stark, 55, Oklahoma City, went to be with Jesus unexpectedly at his home on Monday, Dec. 23, 2019. Mike was born March 21, 1964, in Oklahoma City to James and Janie Stark and was a lifelong area resident. He attended OKC public schools, graduating from Grant High School in 1982 as Valedictorian. He attended the University of Oklahoma. Mike worked for St. Anthony Hospital for over 25 years before his retirement.
In December 1999, he married Susan Pritchard, and although they did not remain married, they were steadfast in speaking to each other nearly every day and partnered well to raise their children together. Family was the pivotal essence of Mike’s life and he will be forever remembered for his smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, and unconditional love. Mike was a deeply adored father, son, brother, uncle and friend. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in Heaven watching over us.
He is survived by his children, Cody Stark, and wife, Sade, Shelby and William Stark. His mother, Janie Stark. Sister, Beverly Keester and husband, Jeff, Oklahoma City. Nieces, Kelli Keester and Amy Burke and husband, Dustin. One great nephew, Nicholas Burke.
Mike’s grandchildren, Megan, Erin, Haven, Melody, Isabella and Jordan were the pride and joy of his life. The legacy of his spirit, passion for OU football, travel, love of reading, and zest for life will live on through them. He is preceded in death by his father, James Stark.
