In 1969, she graduated from Capitol Hill High School. Janice continued her education at Rose State College, achieving an associate degree in Courtroom Reporting, all while raising two children on her own. Janice would then begin a career working for OKDHS, and enjoyed her position for many years.
Janice liked garage sales, quilting, sewing, embroidery, plants and gardening. She also loved board games, (especially the game ‘Sorry!’) Janice also loved card games, such as Rummy and Solitaire.
Her sons, Charles and Jesse were her world. Both boys played sports growing up, and she was always their biggest fan. She worked hard to ensure that her boys were taken care of. Janice wanted the best for them, and worked hard to provide that. Once her grandchildren were born, they were the light of her life. Janice was a devoted grandmother, and loved spending time with them.
Janice is survived by her sons: Charles Austin Ashlock (Brandi) of Cabot, Arkansas and Jesse Bryon Ashlock II, of Hennessey, Oklahoma. Two brothers: Ronny Guinn of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Billy Guinn of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and her two sisters: Linda Gregory of Zephyrhills, Florida and Laura Guinn.
