Jean was born on June 21, 1955 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Robert and Betty Pauline Brown Thompson. She was raised in north Oklahoma City where she and her siblings knew all the neighborhood kids. She married Larry Elliott in Oklahoma City on August 6, 1988.
Jean earned her Associate Degree from Central State University and later worked at Tinker Air Force Base doing sheet metal work on B-52’s and later became Production Controller on the GE rotor line. She always received high appraisals, never let a plane leave with any kind of defect and she was very organized.
Jean spent most of her life living in Oklahoma City. She loved to travel, go to concerts, Broadway plays and to be with friends. She was Larry’s constant companion for 30 years doing everything they both wanted to do. She had a large bucket list that they were working on and she was always adding something to it making it a never-ending list. She was always helping and donating to friends and family when they needed help with something. She attended the Church of Christ where her family went for years. Her support of Larry’s Liver Transplant has been from working with different Transplant support groups to attending the Transplant Games of America to volunteering for LifeShare of Oklahoma. Jean’s biggest disappointment in life was the fact that she didn’t get to finish her and Larry’s bucket list.
Jean’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the people who supported them in their time of need. When you think of Jean, think of the three words that she lived her life by, “Live, Laugh, Love,”
Jean was preceded in death by mother, Betty Pauline Brown Thompson on December 29, 2014 and niece, Rebecca Thompson Reynolds on May 10, 2010.
