

Jerald “Jerry” Leonard went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3rd, with loved ones at his side. He was the husband of Karen Schroder who preceded him in death, and later Ruth Huddleston who also preceded him in death. He was preceded in death by his parents Harlan and Helena Leonard, brother James, son Jacob Loman Leonard, daughter-in-law Triva Leonard and grandson Ethan Tardibono.
He is survived by his siblings Harlene, Sarah, Joe, Jack, Jeff and Mark and his children Jerri Lynn, Mark and Janice. His legacy is carried on through his 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Jerry grew up in Edmond, Oklahoma and graduated from Edmond High School, where he excelled in sports. He proudly served 2 years in the US Army, achieving an honorable discharge. He served 6 years in the Reserves. He attended Bacone College for 2 years. His career led him to the grocery industry, working for Safeway, IGA/Kennards and Fleming Foods until his retirement. Jerry established and served as pastor of Jesus Faith Center for 7 years. He taught Sunday School for many years at Faith Fellowship Church and then Victory Church in Oklahoma City. He had a Prison Ministry for over 40 years, sharing the Good News of Salvation. He established a legacy of spiritual heritage in his family.
Jerry will be remembered as a “Larger than Life” persona, who, through the power of the Holy Spirit, overcame serious loss and tragedy in his life. He will be greeted in Heaven by family and the many souls he helped to be saved into eternal life.
A funeral service for Jerald will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Victory Church, 4300 N MacArthur Blvd, Warr Acres, OK 73122. Following the funeral service will be a graveside at 1:30 PM at Heritage Burial Park, 4000 SW 119th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73173.
