Jerry was born to Dealous Witt Moon and Ruth Anna (Ritchey) Moon on January 2, 1937 in Haslet, Texas. He died July 4, 2023 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was 86 years, 6 months and 2 days old. He is one of eleven children. He was a lettered basketball player in high school and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for NCR (National Cash Register) and later owned and ran his own business. In retirement he enjoyed playing golf. He worked at Earlywine Golf Course as a starter and in the pro shop. He played in local golf tournaments and made several hole in ones!! He is survived by his children Jana (Moon) Hackmann & Todd Moon and three grandsons, Karis Hackmann, Drew Hackmann & Zach Moon.
Jerry was very personable, humorous and giving. He enjoyed having company, reading, working puzzles and watching old westerns & sports.
A military memorial service will be held in his honor at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens on May 24, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
