John Robert Colby

John Robert (J.R.) Colby, 95, passed away March 25, 2011, in Irving Texas. Born in Los Angeles California on June 10, 1915, he attended Kemper Military School in Boonville Missouri. He served in the Army during World War II and was a carpenter by trade. John was preceded in death by his mother Iva Harriet Cain Colby, and his brother Richard Cain Colby, and is survived by his nieces Ricki Feagan and husband Randy of Lubbock , Tx, Barbara Laffitte and husband Wayne of Murphy, Tx, great nieces Lindsay Bird and husband Brenden of Lubbock, Tx, Heather Laffitte and Rachel Laffitte of Murphy, Tx, great nephew Matthew Feagan of Lubbock, Tx, two great-great nieces, and a cousin Richard O Cain of Oklahoma City. Viewing will be held Tuesday morning, March 29, 2011 prior to 10 am services at Guardian Funeral Homes West Chapel 5820 NW 41st Street, Warr Acres, Oklahoma, with burial to follow in Blackwell Oklahoma.
