

John Nicholas “Nick” Johnson of Oklahoma City, passed away on January 25, 2025 at the age of 63 after suffering a stroke. John was born on September 24, 1961, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Southeast High School, graduating class of 1980, and later completed several college courses throughout his career.
John dedicated 28 years of his life to the Department of Defense, where he worked his way up to a supervisory position. His career was marked by his hard work, dedication, and leadership. Outside of work, John was known for his love of hobbies including, motorcycles, fast trucks, fireworks, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He embraced life with energy and passion, and his zest for living was contagious to everyone around him.
Above all, John was a devoted father and father figure. He cared deeply for his children, Dillon and Dena, and was like a second father to countless friends and loved ones. His kindness, humor, and generosity left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His family was his world, and he will be remembered for his unwavering love, loyalty, and sense of fun.
John is survived by his son, Dillon Johnson; his daughter, Dena Johnson; his daughter-in-law, Kristina Johnson; his brother, Jeff Johnson; his four grandchildren, Landon and Lincoln Johnson, Livia and Maddison Mieir; and his beloved dog, Tokie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marquita Orf and James Johnson, and his stepfather, Donald Orf. He is also survived by his ex-wife of 29 years, Linda Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 4th at Southern Hills Baptist church located at 8601 S. Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City Ok. 73159. John will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
