Joyce Sharum
[June 30, 1947 – February 23, 2026]
Joyce Sharum, born June 30, 1947, passed away on February 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and deep love for her family.
Joyce spent her career as a public-school teacher, a role that suited her perfectly. She was patient, gentle, and endlessly encouraging. She believed in her students and gave them not only an education, but confidence and care. Many young lives were shaped by her steady presence in the classroom.
She was truly the sweetest person and never met a stranger. Whether in a grocery store line, at a school event, or simply out in the community, Joyce had a way of making people feel seen and welcome. Conversation came easily to her, and so did compassion.
Joyce is lovingly remembered by her eldest daughter, Joni Sharum and partner Jess George of Princeton, TX; her grandchildren, Ari and Aubrey; her son, Roy Sharum and wife Kara Sharum of Wylie, Tx and her brother, Bruce Bethers of Nevada as well as numerous close friends and neighbors. Her family was her greatest pride, and she supported them with unwavering love and quiet strength.
Her warmth, gentle spirit, and open heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, the kindness she shared continues to live on in the lives she touched.
A service to honor Joyce’s life will be held at [Arlington Memory Gardens] on Monday March 2, 2026, at 2pm. Flowers can be sent to Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.
