Judith (Judy) Evelyn King has died after succumbing to pneumonia. She was born on 6 February 1937 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away on 24 February 2024 at the age of 87 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was cremated and will have her ashes scattered at sea according to her wishes. Judy was born in the Southwest Maternity Hospital in Los Angeles, CA to Edson John Klenk and Erma Louise Walker-Klenk. She lived much of her childhood in Oregon. She then moved to Los Angeles and changed her name to Oudeans when her mother married Charles (Chuck) Oudeans.
On May 19, 1956 she married Bob Edward King. They finally settled in Chula Vista, CA where she lived for over 50 years. Sadly, Bob passed away in 1973 and Judy became the mother AND father of the family. She worked for over 20 years for Humphrey Mortuary in Chula Vista as a death certificate clerk.
Judy is survived by her 4 children, Shelley Ebbert, David King, Debbie Ahmadian and Sandi King, as well as her 27 Grandkids, 43 Great-Grandkids, 2 Great-Great Grandkids, her cat Snickel and her dog Daisy. There were also 3 more Great-Great Grandkids on the way. She is also survived by many that had “adopted” her as their second mother. Judy touched a great many hearts and was loved by many.
There will be two Celebration of Life memorial services. The first one will be in Midwest City at The Peoples Church on March 25 at 1100. The second will be in San Diego on June 16, time and place TBD.
