Kathleen Anita Ortega, age 66, peacefully passed away on December 12, 2014 at her home in Piedmont, Oklahoma. Kathy was born on September 15, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Cornelius (Neil) and Betty O'Connor.
Kathy graduated from T.F. South High School in 1966 in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduation, Kathy immediately entered the administrative field where she worked primarily for AT&T for twenty years and The City of Oklahoma City for fifteen years.
Kathy met the love of her life, Victor Ortega in 1987 and the two were married on May 5, 1990. Kathy's life was her family as evidenced by the raising of their 10 year old great grand daughter at the time of her death.
In addition to her family, Kathy loved the Lord, reading, animals and sports.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Betty O'Connor and her sister, Julie Havecost. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Victor Ortega; brother, Neil O'Connor and wife, Paulette; daughter, Tracy Haught and husband, Russell; son, Kevin Sevey and wife, Tammy; son, David Ortega; daughter, Debbie; son, Victor Ortega III; daughter, Salina and husband, Phillip; 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and many other relatives and close friends.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel followed by burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
