

Laura Naomi Murphy, age 92, of Newalla, OK, passed away at the Harrah Nursing Center November 14, 2012. She was born January 9, 1920 in Springfield, Ohio to James P. and Effie (Crist) Robison. She was an assembly line worker in electronics for the Motorola Company. Laura enjoyed playing honky tonk music on the piano; crocheting doilies, going to garage sales; liked Indian Jewelry; made wonderful yummy butterscotch cookies and was a caregiver to her neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Clarence E. Bobb; her second husband, Harold R. Murphy; grandson, Wayne Bryant Anderson; and ten siblings. Laura is survived by her son, Wayne M. Bobb and wife Susan L. of Newalla, Oklahoma; three daughters: Karen Akin and husband Dean of Galesburg, Illinois; Bonnie Mulenex and husband Kenly of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Betty Mills; grandchildren, Jessica R. Bobb; Jackie M. and husband Ryan Anderson; Katie E. Hagaman and husband Casey; Joey Akin; Kristi Akin; Sharon Medearis and husband Harry; Toni Means and husband John; Steve Mills; Randy Mills; and Rick Mills; great-grandchildren, Maggie Anderson; Mary Lynn Anderson; Grace Anderson; Emma Anderson; Jennifer Hutchinson; Dale Hutchinson; Amanda Blalack; Amber Bush; Brian Medearis; Kaycie Means; Lisa Means; and Eric Means; a host of great-great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Glenna Owens of Springfield, Ohio.. Funeral services will be held at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141 at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 20 2012 at the Chapel at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, Ohio with burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
