I am so very grateful to have had the time we spent together dad .  It has been fun seeing all of the ways we are alike! Our love for people and our outgoing personalities, an eye for decorating, and one of the funniest things, is how much we both love shopping and fashion! Always joking about who shopped more or who had more shoes !! We also both loved college football! But our favorite teams were a huge rivalry!! You of course loved the Sooners and I love the Longhorns! It was fun to give each other a hard time each October about the Texas / OU game at the Cotton Bowl ! I will miss you dearly, and always treasure our memories. And for the first time ever I will say “Boomer Sooner” dad…. I love you always ❤️


I will miss my stepdad very much.  He was a great cook and enjoyed cooking our favorite foods.  He was a big sports fan and loved talking about OU football and girls softball. My husband and I Iove him and we will miss him alot.

Leonard and I were about as close as brothers could be and yet live many states away from each other. For the last several decades we talked every Sunday for an hour or so and sometimes there were additional calls during the week. Leonard was three and a half years my senior and I followed him through elementary, middle, and high school with the same buildings and many of the same teachers. Both of us did well academically graduating in the upper 5% of our class. Len always followed sports (one of our last conversations was the day of this year's super bowl and that was mostly the topic of conversation). I enjoyed partaking in the sports both in high school and college but wasn't much on following pro sports - Len kept me up to date there. Len graduated from Case Western Reserve and spent two years doing graduate work and teaching at Miami of Ohio. Len made some lifetime friends from his fraternity at Case Western Reserve, Beta Theta Pi, and has stayed in touch with many of them for over fifty years. After Miami of Ohio, Len went to work for Eastman Kodak in Rochester New York. He became Kodak's authority in their “Microfiche” system. Len spent his last years before retiring from Kodak waiting at home for a major customer to have a problem. He would then go dressed in a hat and gloves and fly first class to fix it. During that period Len was married twice and had a daughter from each of the marriages. Upon retiring and living in Oklahoma he met Sue, the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. The only things Len didn't like about Oklahoma were the weather and the food habits and preferences (especially the way they made their chili). What he did like, no love, was their donuts, jelly in particular! At one point, I got Len interested in computers which was a hobby/business for me. Len and I spent many hours fixing his (“I didn't do that”) problems. I am already beginning to sit and look at the phone on Sundays with a tear in my eye. He will be greatly missed

My husband and I were privileged to host the wedding of Len and Sue more than 30 years ago. My husband, Roger, and Sue were siblings. It was a fun time to have all the Yarber family to celebrate with Len and Sue.
