

Leta Jane Ligon, 79, arrived at her Heavenly home on April 15, 2011. Jane was born February 5, 1932 in Seminole, OK to Hampton Wade and Tessie Hortense (Arbuckle) Anderson, Sr. Jane retired from the civil service at Tinker in 1993. The year she retired, Jane was able to save the government over $100 million dollars and because of this great task, she earned the Department Of Defense Employee Of The Year Award. Jane enjoyed teaching Bible study, golf, singing in the church choir, crossword puzzles, swimming, and reading, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. She also had a special place in her heart for her furry friends; dogs, Baby, Boots, Buffy and Sadie.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Minneletha “Dearie” Reeder. Survivors include her children, Jack Ligon (Tamara), Chuck Ligon (Brenda), Janie Tiede (Charlie); brother, Hampton Anderson, Jr.; grandchildren, Jessica Tucker (Russell), Justin Allen (Jana), Matthew Ligon (Sonia), Adam Ligon (Jessica), Jarod Allen, Allen Ligon, Steven Ligon (Emily), Chad and Caity Tiede; great-grandchildren, Keith, Conley, Claire, Canaan, Summer and Liam Ligon, Jonas Allen and Aviva Tucker.
The family will be receiving guests from 6-8p.m., Monday, April 18, 2011 at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Del City. Interment will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
