Wilson, Lora Anne, of Jones, Oklahoma, passed with peace and grace on March 3, 2026, with her family at her side. Mrs. Wilson was born May 27, 1937, in Wichita Falls, TX, the daughter of Bud and Mary Williams. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Johnny Ray Wilson on July 1, 1955. He preceded her in death January 18, 2015. They were married 59 wonderful years.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Bud and Mary Williams, Wichita Falls, TX and dear sister and brother Kaye Broyles of Wichita Falls, TX, and Frank Williams, Eugene, Oregon.
She is survived by her children, Stan Wilson and friend Sandy Kamas, Edmond, Ok, Tracy Rowlett and husband Johnny, Porum, Ok, Mark Wilson and wife Frances, Jones, OK, and Adam Wilson, Guthrie, OK. In addition, she is survived by 8 loving grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren; brother John Williams and wife Audrey of Wichita Falls, TX.
She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews that loved her dearly. Lora had many special friends but, in the end, Edith Lattin and Mary Parker were so special to her and the family wants to thank them dearly.
Lora’s love for her children and grandchildren was unmeasurable. She loved them all equally and with all her heart. Her door was always open, and her kitchen was never closed. Especially for a glass of her famous sweet tea. She followed her children and grandchildren to every sporting, dance, gymnastics or school event that she could physically get to. It devastated her when her body made it impossible for her to personally attend. Thank God for technology that allowed her to watch some of their events on her lap pad (iPad). Lora became known to all the kids and their friends as MaMaw Lora.
Lora’s avid love for sports of all kinds was huge. She loved her Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and “Her” OKC Thunder! Most of all her Jones Longhorns! Her day was planned around her sports.
She loved to garden and had quite the green thumb until her beautiful petite body told her, no more. She also loved her birds and got pretty proficient in identifying the many species that came to her feeders.
She will always be remembered as a fighter, a brave and loving Mother, MaMaw and friend with a passion for helping others.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd, St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Family will greet family and friends for Visitation at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home on March 6 from 5 PM to 8 PM. Funeral Service will be held March 7 at 10:00 AM.
