Louis Jackson Holt was born September 13, 1917 in Pulaski County, Arkansas to R.L. and Della Holt. He passed away September 6, 2010. Louis was a long time resident of Oklahoma City. He and Laura Allyne Armstrong were married on April Fool’s Day in 1939, they didn’t know which one got ‘fooled’ the most. They were together for almost 61 years until her death. He worked many years for Diesel Power Co.; United Engines; Skirvin Hotel; and various apartment complexes. Louis could repair almost anything for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and his brother, Edgar “Ed” Holt. Louis is survived by his two daughters, Jerrie Szczepka and Sandra Brooks; one granddaughter, Katrina Eppler; one grandson, John Brooks; two great grandsons, ‘Scooby’ Eppler and Cameron Brooks; and two sisters, Sherrie Holt and Mary Eaton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home chapel with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank Hospice of Oklahoma County for their assistance.
