Viewing will be 8 a.m., to 8 p.m., Sunday, December 22nd, 2019 at Hahn-Cook/ Street & Draper at 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23rd, 2019 at 1:00 PM also at Hahn-Cook/ Street & Draper Chapel with pastors Rev. Ron McCaslin of Spring Creek Assembly of God officiating, and Rev. Chris Wilkerson of Lakeview Baptist of Guthrie assisting. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Oklahoma City.
Lynn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Ruth Ellen Kelley and Clarence Kelly on July 8th, 1948. She went to school at John Marshall High School, Class of 1966. She married Richard Lee Southerland on September 6th of 1996 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She worked as an executive administrative assistant for Reserve National Insurance for 17 years. She was involved in her private catering business, and owned Café Des Arts in downtown Guthrie, Oklahoma.
Lynn is preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Ellen Slusher, and father Jack C Slusher.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Richard Lee Southerland; sons, Paul Brown of Midwest City, Oklahoma, James Southerland and wife Athina of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother, Paul Slusher and wife Gail of Oklahoma City; her two grandchildren, Speshal Brown, of Midwest City, and Griffin James Southerland of Edmond, Oklahoma, as well as nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Paul Brown, James Southerland, Ric Gorden, Paul Slusher, Nathan Slusher, Jerry Griffin, and Erric Welch.
Honorary pallbearers: Leon Postoak, Griffin James Southerland, and Luke Welch.
