Margaret M. Lentz passed away on November 12, 2011 in Yukon, Oklahoma at the age of 98. She was born May 1, 1913 in Mayetta, Kansas to John Nelson Bender and Mae Lewis. In her early years, she lived in the Loudonville, Ohio area. She married Paul Leonard Lentz on March 8, 1933 and, by 1940, she, Leonard and family had moved to Cleveland, Ohio. In 1949, they relocated to Bethany, Oklahoma. Margaret and Leonard moved to Giddings, Texas in 1977. Upon Leonard’s death in 1995, Margaret returned to Oklahoma and lived alone until she was 97. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two of her sons, Charles Leonard Lentz and William Eugene Lentz, and granddaughter, Cindy Lea Keith. Of her seven siblings, two survive: Doris Bender Oyster and Charles E. Bender (both of Ohio). She is survived by one son, James Ernest Lentz, his wife, Alice, daughters-in-law, Gertrude Lentz and Beverly Lentz, five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank the personnel of Gran Grans Place in Yukon, who provided Margaret with wonderful care at the end of her life. Her grandson, Jesse Leonard Lentz, also helped by his daily vigilant involvement with Margaret. He rarely missed an evening visit with Margaret at Gran Grans Place.
