

She was born on February 8, 1924 in Oberlin, Kansas to George and Blanche Leitner. She graduated from, Oberlin High School in 1941 and married Leo (“Lee”) Nondorf that same year. Lee enjoyed a successful career working for Texaco and their family moved around the country for different opportunities. With each move, Marjorie took pride in being able to settle in quickly, make their house a home, and create new lasting friendships. They eventually settled in Bellaire, Texas where Lee retired from Texaco. After Lee’s retirement, they spent several years enjoying being together at their lake cabin near Livingston, Texas and being on their boat fishing. They also enjoyed traveling to spend time with their family, which often included playing card games and sharing many laughs with those she loved.
Several years after Lee’s passing, Marjorie moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to be closer to family and was able to create many lasting memories in her new home. In this next chapter of her life she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandkids and spreading laughter during numerous get togethers. Marjorie had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed telling stories late into the evening as everyone enjoyed her presence.
Marjorie is survived by sisters Janet Nitschke of Cambridge, Kansas and Julie Schiessler of Oberlin, Kansas. She is also survived by her sons, Jim Nondorf and wife Sandra of Oklahoma City and Mike Nondorf and wife Donna of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. She is also survived by her grandchildren and their families: Greg Hoover of Elk City, Oklahoma, Mike Hoover of Luther, Oklahoma, Amanda Cromwell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Erik Nondorf of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kyle Nondorf of Waunakee, Wisconsin, Darin Nondorf of Erie, Colorado and Melissa Nondorf of Houston, Texas.
Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Marilyn Hoover and husband Bill, grandsons Craig Hoover and Brent Nondorf and granddaughter Andrea Nondorf.
She leaves behind many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many others, all who will cherish her memories and miss her presence. A devout Christian her entire life, the family is comforted knowing she is now in her Father’s eternal home. There will be a graveside service and interment at Rose Hill Cemetery on Saturday, December 3 at 10:00 AM.
