Mildred Thornton was called home on February 11, 2012. She was born on July 7, 1924 to Robert and Elizabeth Garroutte. She was the youngest of ten children. In transition, she joins Hal, her husband of 60 years. In life, she leaves her daughter Sandra and husband Mark Wilson; grandson, Joseph Hicks and wife Wiyanna and grandson Ira Hicks. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews, friends, and family. Mildred never met a stranger, once you met her, you were family. She lived each day with love and asks we do the same. Mildred loved OU sports; her doll collection; and crocheting and sewing. She was a very caring and sensitive person. She will be greatly missed. Funeral serices will be held Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home Northeast Chapel, with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
