

Milton Wade Taylor, 55, joined his Lord and Savior on December 22, 2010. Wade was born August 24, 1955 in Oklahoma City, OK to Arthur Louis, Sr. and Cecelia Marie (Overstreet) Taylor. He graduated from Star Spencer High School in 1973, where he was the football team’s quarterback. He attended Oscar Rose Junior College and the University of Oklahoma earning a BS in Geography in 1981. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church for over 40 years, and is currently a member of Grace Place Baptist Church.
Wade was employed by Oklahoma Natural Gas for five years and served for over twenty-seven years with the Oklahoma City Police Department earning the ranks of Detective, Investigator, and Master Sergeant while working in the Investigations/Drug Enforcement, Central Uniform Patrol, Administrative, Special Operations, and Uniform Support Bureaus. Wade loved his family and friends, and cherished the partners with whom he served. He enjoyed all types of outdoor activities and being in the mountains.
He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur. Survivors include his mother, Cecelia Taylor; wife, Mary; daughter, Emily Taylor; sisters, Louise Allard and husband Leo, Dee Honea; brother, Arthur Louis Taylor, Jr. and wife Deborah.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 27, 2010 at First Southern Baptist Church in Del City. Interment will follow at Saint Rose/Mount Carmel Cemetery in Perry, Oklahoma. Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
