Misty Dawn Followill Thompson born October 10th, 1974 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Steve Followill and Barbara Landon. She passed from this life September 9th, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Ok at 50 years old (forever 29). Misty was a 1993 graduate of Choctaw High School. She married the love of her life Bill Thompson on June 21st, 2008. Her days were spent playing solitaire, on numerous apps, while drinking a cold diet coke. If she was not in Oklahoma she would be somewhere on a beach watching the sunset. She was a passionate OU fan but trick Bill by having a Longhorn sticker on her car. She also loved going to Thunder games and cheering them on to their Championship. Most of all, Misty loved spending her time with her family, especially her children, Quinn and Ava. Nothing made her more happy than to see the smiles on their faces. Misty was preceded in death by her dad, Steve Followill, and grandparents, Mildred and Leon Followill, and Harry and Pauline Howk. Misty is survived by husband, Bill Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK, children, Quinn and Ava Hale of Oklahoma City, OK, mother, Barbara Landon and husband Bob Landon of Arlington, TX, sister, Felicia Followill of Harrah, Oklahoma, sister Stephanie Thomas Hand of Talihina, OK, father-in-law, Larry Thompson of Norman,OK, mother-in-law, Kathy Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK, brother-in-law, Carl Thompson of Prosper, TX, sister-in-law, Yvette Thompson-McDonald of Asher, OK, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The services will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 7pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located at 12020 N Mustang Rd, Mustang, Ok 73099. Graveside services will be held Monday, September 15th in Talihina, Ok.
