Myra Albright, age 83, died on Apr 12, 2025, at Legend of Edmond. Born in Lynn, MA, daughter of the late Phyllis and Charles Wilson; sister of Anita Carpenter (late Ted) of Middleton; Douglas Wilson (Joleen) of Beverly; and Claire Wilson of Danvers, all in MA; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Anne Hanes, the late Patricia Barnett-Miranda, and Alice Moore, all of OK. In 1976, she married the late Richard (Ric) Albright.
Myra earned her Practical Pediatrics Nurse degree from North Shore Children’s Hospital in Salem, MA, continuing her education toward an RN degree at both Shepherd-Gill School of Practical Nursing at Mass General Hospital in Boston, and at Oklahoma Christian College where she met her future husband. Devout Christians, Myra and Ric were active members of the Britton Road Church of Christ in OKC, teaching Sunday School and facilitating Financial Peace workshops. Myra later attended Rosh Pinah (a Messianic Congregation) where she learned to read and write Hebrew. She attended services at Calvary Christian Center and Deer Creek Church of Christ. Myra fulfilled “bucket list” aspirations, visiting her father’s birthplace in Scotland, and the Holy Land in Israel.
Myra loved Nature and, like a dream-come-true, she and Ric raised their boys while residing at the McGee’s Lone Oak Farm, tending the retired horses and peacocks, adding chickens and goats, dogs and cats.
Myra loved the ocean, music, and the arts, and was a lifelong gardener and bird watcher. She welcomed friendships with people of diverse races, ethnicities, and cultures, rejoicing in their commonalities.
Myra is survived by her beloved sons, Carl Albright (Caroline) and Eric Albright of OKC, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews in both OK and MA.
