Nancy Elizabeth Rupp, 74, went home to be with God on October 7, 2025. Born in Oklahoma City on April 30, 1951, Nancy was a caring and unwaveringly cheerful wife, mother, and friend whose warmth touched everyone she met. A lifelong resident of the area, she graduated from Northwest Classen High School and made her home just minutes from where she was born.
True to her sweet nature, Nancy had a sweet tooth and delighted in sharing her delicious pies and cakes with family and friends. A devoted animal lover, she regularly spoiled her "grand dog" and faithfully fed the birds and squirrels that visited her garden each morning. Her giving spirit also expressed itself through crocheting baby blankets for expectant mothers.
A "Jill of all trades," Nancy's diverse career included working in a pie store and serving as bookkeeper for several restaurants and businesses. In retirement, she found joy volunteering as a reading partner with children at a local elementary school. An avid reader herself, Nancy constantly had a stack of library books at the ready and especially loved true stories about women in history.
Among Nancy's greatest achievements were her 15 years of sobriety, which served as an inspiration to many. Her personal faith in God was her anchor, and she spent regular time in prayer and Bible reading. A steadfast supporter of the downtrodden, Nancy always offered deep empathy and ready forgiveness.
Nancy is survived by her children, Kevin and Allison; her brother, Terry Nelson; and her grandchildren, Madeline and Russell. Her legacy of positivity, empathy, and faith will continue to inspire all who knew her.
