Ralph Lester Taylor was born February 4, 1943, to Luther McCoy Taylor and Lula Pearl (Wilson) Taylor in Talihina, Oklahoma. Around the age of 4, the family moved to Atoka Oklahoma. Growing up, he enjoyed playing with his siblings and being around the farm animals. He especially loved the cows, as they were his favorite. Ralph attended elementary school in Atoka up until the 3rd grade; his help was then needed to work the family farm.
When he turned 18, Ralph ventured out and moved to Oklahoma City, and got a job working as a mechanic. In 1973, at a local Oklahoma City Taco Bell, Ralph would muster up the courage to ask his future wife, Eloisa, to a movie. His charm worked, and on September 5, 1974 they officially became “Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Taylor”. After they were married, they raised a family of 2. While Eloisa taking care of things at home, Ralph worked for many years at JOYCO, rebuilding transmissions and motors. Around Ralph’s 62nd birthday, he decided it was time to retire. After that, spending time with his grandkids were a top priority. He also enjoyed visiting relatives, and fixing bikes.
Ralph was a patient, kind, and giving man. He was very friendly, and would strike up a conversation with anybody.
