After an extraordinary 67 years of life, Randall Carr Smith entered the arms of Jesus. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and raised in Houston, Texas, where he formed countless friendships that would last a lifetime.
Randy was a man of remarkable strength and courage, qualities that carried him through every season of his life. He was a man of deep faith with a loving spirit that touched the lives of all who knew him. He had a rare gift for making others feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. He was spontaneous and possessed an exceptional sense of humor, with a rare ability to make everyone around him laugh until they cried.
As a child, Randy spent cherished time with his Popaw and Grandmother on their Henderson farm. His fondest memories were made alongside his beloved “Hossfly,” where he learned lifelong lessons about hard work, perseverance, and character. Those early years shaped the man he became, and he later poured that same love and dedication into his own family.
From childhood through adulthood, he had a deep love for music and found joy in life’s simple pleasures, something that deeply resonated with him in his favorite song “Simple Man.” Whether at the lake, in the pool, or by the beach, he was happiest surrounded by water, with music in the background and the warmth of the sun on his face.
Randy’s adventurous spirit led him to travel across the country opening nightclubs before eventually settling in Oklahoma. There, he became a successful business owner, building not only businesses, but also lasting relationships. Many of his employees became like family, a reflection of the way Randy lived his life with loyalty, generosity, and truly a heart of gold.
Above all, Randy was a devoted husband, father and son. His life was anchored in love, laughter, loyalty, and a deep commitment to his family and friends. He loved his “honey”, children and mother with a lasting devotion and held great admiration for each of them; they were, without question, his greatest treasures.
Randy is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda; his beloved mother, Barbara “Bobbie” Allen, age 94; his daughter, Charli Brewer and son in law Brandon Brewer; his daughter, Nikki Smith; his son, Wesley Smith; his granddaughters, Lily and Penelope Brewer; Uncle Weldon McElreath and numerous nieces and nephews who he loved and adored.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Thornton Smith, his fathers, Don Smith and Budd Allen and his sweet Aunt Glo.
Randy’s legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, kept alive in the many memories, especially the hilarious ones that brought so much laughter.
A Celebration of Randy's Life will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK 73162, on May 9, 2026, at 10:00 am.
Following the burial in Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery, 14300 N. County Line Road, Oklahoma City, all are invited to a reception at the Twin Silos Neighborhood Clubhouse.
