Robert A. Bower

Robert Albert Bower was born June 2, 1930 at Camargo, Oklahoma to Michael Robert Bower and Edna (Tolle) Bower; he passed away May 15, 2013 in Midwest City, Oklahoma at his home. He graduated from Arnett High School in Arnett, Oklahoma in 1949. He married Leona Louise Colten May 15, 1953 in Laverne, Oklahoma; their marriage lasting 60 years to the day. The family grew to include five boys: Monty, Ronnie, Troy, Randy, and Stacey. Robert, or “Bob” as he was more widely known, worked as a machinist until retirement. He enjoyed being with family and friends, fishing, camping, being at reunions, on vacations, or just being at home. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters: Ruby Wray and Birdie McDannald; his brother, Bill Bower; his two half-sisters: Violet Coulson and Sinia Reese; his son Ronnie Bower. He is survived by his beloved wife “Louise”; his sons: Monty and wife, Jo of Alexandria, La; Troy and wife, Shari of Covington, LA; Randy and Stacey of Midwest City, OK; five grandsons: Robert Allen Bower and wife, Sarah; Michael Anthony Bower and wife, Kathleen; Randy Alan Bower; Troy Alexander Bower; granddaughter, Nina Michelle Ramirez; thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends. The family would like to thank Hospice Quality Care for their kind, compassionate care. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home with interment at Arlington Memory Gardens.
