Robert Lee Caruthers Sr.

Robert Lee Caruthers, Sr., 81, went to his Heavenly home on March 30, 2011. He was born July 9, 1929 in Oklahoma City, OK to Edward Lee and Sally Marie (Reynolds) Caruthers. Robert proudly served his country and retired from the U.S Air Force as a MSgt. He enjoyed fishing, basketball, boxing, table tennis, raising fruit trees and growing roses for his beautiful wife. Robert never missed an opportunity to attend an OU Football game if at all possible.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Kylie Caruthers; great-grand-granddaughter, Cadence Burden. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Ina Rose Caruthers; children, Constance Armor (Sidney), Melecia Caruthers (Renardo Rhone, Sr.), Robert Lee Caruthers, Jr., Kevin Caruthers (LaQuetta); sister, Vera White; grandchildren, Courtney, Renardo, Jr., Ashley, Porsha, Kevin Jr., Shequon, Kaela; step-grandchildren, Anastasia, Stephanus; great-grandbaby twins, MaKayla and McKenzie Burden.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at The Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 4, 2011. Entombment and full military honors will follow at Arlington Memory Gardens. Arrangements under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Oklahoma City, OK.
