Robert Lee Kinder was born January 20, 1929, in Alberta, Canada to Hubert James and Alice (Grant) Kinder. He passed away September 30, 2018. Robert worked as a linotype operator in the newspaper industry for many years, and enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion, the Ceramics Club, and St. Robert’s Catholic Church for over 20 years in Jones, Oklahoma. Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, bowling, and playing cards with his friends. He also made ceramics and owned his own ceramics business. Robert was a faithful watcher of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. He traveled to every state in the U.S. and volunteered his time to work county elections. Robert is survived by his wife of 61years, Betty J. Kinder; daughter, Roberta Smith of Oregon; niece, Debbie Lauzon; and great-nephew, Steve and wife Bianca Lauzon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Alice Kinder; and brothers, Dale and Jim Kinder. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. A memorial will be held at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 121 NW 1st St., Jones, OK 73049 at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 17th, 2018 in Jones, Oklahoma.
