Robert Frank Lovely

Robert Frank (Bob) Lovely, 92, passed peacefully on March 6. Born to Russell and Era Lovely in Ames, OK. Bob was preceded in death by wife Donna Le Rundle Lovely in 1968 and wife Earline Winkler Lovely in 2004. Bob is survived by wife Alice Cantrell Lovely, children: Robin (Joyce) Lovely, WI; Debra Lovely Knight, OK; Marlene (Bill) Winkler Beery, OK; Sherri (Carl) Winkler Wade, GA; Marden “Wink” (Joyce) Winkler, OK and Cheryl Cantrell, PA, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Bob proudly served his country in the US Navy as a Radioman aboard USS Reno during WWII.

His career as a mechanic began in 1953 in South America with Loffland Brothers and ended with retirement 1986 from Cummins Diesel in OKC.

His joys and passions include: grandchildren, Easter Egg Hunts, gardening, family, fishing and friends in the Ames community and his active membership at Memorial Christian Church.

Services Thursday, March 10, 2:00PM at Guardian West OKC. Donations in Bob’s name may be made to American Legion Post 340, Ames, OK.
