Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, he was the son of Dale and Gladys Hartman. He graduated from the old Central High School. He was retired and had worked at various occupations which included office clerk, purchasing agent and real estate.
He was an elder at Calvin Presbyterian Church, which he helped establish. He was a fan of OU football and softball and held seats at Memorial Stadium for over 60 years. He will be remembered for his dry humor, family values, and his service in the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughter, Tamara and husband Steve Davis; son, Dale and wife Denise Hartman; son, Andy and wife DeAnn Hartman; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Diana.
A memorial service will be held on January 30 at 1:00 at Advantage Funeral Services, 7700 South Pennsylvania, in Oklahoma City.
