Ruby was born in Vinita, Oklahoma, and throughout her life she taught her family that life is not always fair and that it should be taken one day at a time. These lessons, shared through both words and example, became a guiding light to those who loved her.
She cherished spending time with her daughter and took great pride in watching her grow up. Ruby and her daughter, Mary, especially enjoyed watching funny movies together, moments filled with laughter that created lasting memories. Her love, strength, and quiet wisdom shaped her family in meaningful ways.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Mary Craft, and her husband, Lee Craft, of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren: Rachelle Haskins, Brittany Diaz, Nicole Craft, Kayla Craft, Corey Shaw, DJ Lee, Derek Hitsman, Ashley Woolery, and Trevor Craft; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate Ruby’s special life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with interment following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. There will be a time to pay your respects to Ruby at 1:00 p.m. just prior to the service.
Ruby’s memory will be deeply cherished, and she will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to family, her honesty about life, and the pride she held in her daughter.
